Joep Bartels became a global name in the 1970s with his magazines and events at BCM. Gijs Bartels has been creating innovative events and publications showcasing equestrian sports in all its forms since 2001.

No matter if it’s an event for up to 500 guests at our home base, Culitsrode Estate, or a large-scale event with tens of thousands of visitors across the country, Bartels Media & Events always knows how to surprise. Our top events, like Horse Event Pro, Horse Event Youth andHorse Event Superstars, attract tens of thousands of equestrian fans time after time. With Animal Event, we make another foray into the pet sector every year. As a board member, Gijs Bartels has been closely involved in organising The Dutch Masters-Indoor Brabant Horse Showsince 2016. On top of these events, Bartels Media & Events also publishes the well-known yearbook L’Année Hippique and the trade magazine De Hippische Ondernemer. These publications are a great source of knowledge, inspiration and expertise for anyone in the equestrian sector.
